Well done on getting out guys. Like I said if only I hadn't been at work. Maybe a bit further away from the seals might have yielded more fish. I was talking to a friend the other day who was telling me about the seals on the great Orme, he reckons that they live under "Pigeon holes" and that in the summer they nick your fish off of the lines especially the maccys. I am lead to believe that about a mile out of the back of the Orme is a very good spot for the cod. Has anybody else had any luck around the Great Orme for cod?

Hi all, ...what a brilliant day out that was,....good to meet up with Shark and Steve07, first meet for me of many to come, and we got the weather as well....hopefully the pics I took of Billybass brewing up on his kayak will turn out....he scoured the beach for dry driftwood so to make the fire easier to light,lol...shame about the seals, and we had to leave the water just as the fish where coming on....but nevertheless a very enjoyable day.....cheers lads...looking forward to next time out .Dave Win.

Well what can I say,That was a really stupid suggestion by firefighter to collect driftwood and light a fire aboard my yak!!!! Seriously though we had a very enjoyable day out yesterday,a bit nippy but not too bad.My Ron Tompson neoprene fishing gloves were pretty good in the cold, will do a report soon. Nice to meet up with Shark and Steve and also topcat who we met on shore.Hope to be going out again soon,I fancy trying the straits next if anyone could meet us there,

I had better start looking for a nav light then if you are thinking about night trips.

it will be fun the fish came on like mad as dusk fell i did not want to stop fishing i think we would do very good 100 to 200 yards off north shore near the paddling pool a must for the first high tide we can get for around 7pm so we can have a 2 or 3 hours before high and then 2 or 3 after it

I was doing some late night work on my prowler recently, and illuminated the spot with a portable light, sat down in the hatch...I was amused to see that the whole canoe glows from a distance....look good on the water at night.....Dave Win.

Well it's great to hear the time of year isn't preventing you guys getting out - only 1 more week offshore for me then I guess I'll just have to make a decision on a yak and buy it so I can hopefully be around for the next outing! Martin
