Excellent report about an pleasant day fishing and nice photos! I am considering very seriously buying a manta 14 this year, especially if it cames with a rudder. I hope to be able to try it soon. Well done ZEBRA!

Aye, looks fantastic! Steve, you're going to have to mind your back lifting whoppers like that! ;D ;D ;D ;D;D Chris Hi Chris. Your home made twintails were bigger than this dab and it wasnt the only one that size he had! ;D It gives us all something to beat (in the mini species list)

How cold is this? Bitterly cold but good to be out with the lads. All cought but nothing of any size, mainly dab and whiting. Got back to the beach and my feet were DEAD. Walking streight was impossible. I must have looked drunk ;D . Wierd feeling. Still, A most enjoyable day. Steve

Well now it was -6 degrees when I left home this morning. During the day it warmed up to a barmy -1 degrees. Like Wayne said through the day Paul the skipper of the "Laura Jane" charter boat kept in touch with us to let us know what he was catching. In the afternoon he moored up about 200 yards from us and asked if we would like to have a cuppa with him as he had just put the kettle on. Paul and Laura Jane are from the pathfinder tackle shop at Rhos on sea, This is a good place to pick up bait locally. Their phone number is 01492 544829. About the Manta 14. All I can say is that if anybody has paddled with Terry at any time, you will know that he has an easy to keep up with style, he takes his time (no rush) Well yesterday he almost paddled over to Island without any effort in the "14" he made it look easy with very little effort. It does look the business, very fast and stable. I'll get a go, next time out. O yea like the new hair style Terry, it suits you. All in all, a great day out with good company, good weather, if maybe a tad cold, but with some fish to boot. A good first trip for the year. Steve

Cheers lads, another brilliant day out on the Orme...great company, and a thoroughly enjoyable day, slowly getting to meet you all....I stayed out with Wayne a couple of hours after the others had left, and we didn't notice the frostbite until we finally beached and started packing up...lol...Dave Win.
