Just to say welcome to all new members from the admin team. Some of you already fish from kayaks, some have kayaks and dont yet fish, and some of you will be looking for kayaks. This time of year the forums are fairly quiet so its a good time to ask those questions you are pondering over. No matter how trivial the question seems someone else will be after the same answers. The forum is for the members so dont be shy and wait to post, as questions, photos and local knowledge is invaluable. Your a member now so use the forum to your advantage. Buddy, Zebra and Seajunky.

Hi, Just a chance to introduce myself as a newbie. I'm going to be afloat within 2 weeks and subject to sea trails in Llandudno's North and West shores hope to start fishing very very soon :-) Just waiting for those nice people at Brookbank to tell me my Yak's in and I will over there waiting for the latch before they open, anyone ever fish off the West shore side of the orme by the way?? Used to be good for a few bass years ago from the shore but I've never seen any one there except boats near the Hornby cave.

cheers for that Steve07. I'm convinced its worth a go but judging by the ground I suspect its a peeler venue for bottom fishing. Hope to catch you guys at a monthly meet soon :-)

Just thought I would log in and introduce myself. I'm a keen rock and shore angler and have been wanting to try kayak fishing for sometime. Just picked up a Prowler 4.5 Elite today but know I have a lot to learn before I start fishing from her. I live in Crewe so North Wales or the Wirral are equally good for me. Hope to see a few of you in the near future.

Hi. I've just joined and seen that surf lines Llanberis have had an open day; is there another open day with son or do others have an open day or something similar. I've been considering a sit on for a few years now, ideally for fishing and general fitness; I have a 12 yr old who’s used a sit on a few times with school etc. He appears to be keen; so any suggestions/advice on how to proceed would be appreciated. I think two sit ons would preferable to a double as he can have increased "freedom" but still be under supervision; kids want to be more independent these days; plus he can get a friend interested. I intend to use inland water to gain experience for both of us; I'm definitely back to beginner used to kayak 30 yrs ago' on coastal sea and lakes; which sit on would we need. I'll check out at Plas Menai for courses do surf lines do courses also. I need to ensure safety is paramount.
