I have started this thread for some of us newbies who are not lucky enough to live in North Wales and have to rely on a tent or caravan to stay a few days, a week, or more, so we can attend and enjoy some of our kayak venues. Maybe some of you with some experience of this already, could share some of your best and worst sites you have stayed on, and also what type of tents and equipment you use best suited for kayak fishing.
Cheer's Kerny. ;D

Apparently the practice down your way is to own a decent sized trailer. No, not for the camping gear or tackle. Oh no. ;D You know what I'm talkinmg about K. Biggest plague up here in the warmer months camping are ticks and the dreaded wee yet mighty midge. "Skin so soft" is the only thing I've used to help deal with them. Makes you smell nice and as for your skin... well it's so soft.

Thanks for that Mike, looks like a good site and I like what they promise,NO OVERCROWDING. The photo's great too, you could be in New Zealand out there not Wales. Which one's you the one with or without the hat.?

This site might be worth a look www.goldensunsetholidays.com/I have been visiting for many years.pathway straight onto rock platforms, allways used in the past for the mackrel, also had thornback bottom fishing from there. 5 mins will see you on sea front by car,Large car park pay and display with toilets and cafe. If you get there early there is limited free parking right next to the sea wall and a very handy slipway. The site is really big and only crowded on bank holidays but even so you will find a space. A 5 minute walk or 10 tops dependant on where you have pitched will put you in the village,3 pubs 2 chippys,Indian takeaway, chinese take away, garage that opens at 06:30 for Bacon Barms if you dont feel like getting the frying pan on. I used to take a family tent but found it to much trouble to put up if only staying 1 or 2 nights, now iuse pop up tents bought from decathalon up in 30 seconds down in 1 min with practice, there is a tecqnique to folding them.

That look's like a good site Andy, like the option of 3 pubs nearby ;D, its nice to know other peoples opinions on the sites that they have visited and those that keep going back only validates how good they are. Keep em coming peeps.
