I used my seat for the first time yesterday. I had about 4 hours paddling on a flooded river Soar. The fishing was cr%p with all the debris coming down but the bonus was the Crazy Creek II seat.
It fitted perfectly once all four straps were adjusted correctly, make sure you get plenty of tension in them.
At first I thought the seat pad was a bit hard but I soon realised it was just right. It gave plenty of support but seemed to 'give' just enough so that you sat in the foam rather than 'on' it. For the first time in a long while I got out of the yak without my left leg being dead.
Although I have the low backed II model as opposed to the high backed III it gave me as much support as I needed.
I did not use the pocket on the back but I can see that it will be helpful for nany items you need easy access to although I think that when there is no tension in the pocket the zip may be a little awkward, a minor point though.
The seat pad is plenty thick enough to keep your bum out of any puddles that may form. The material seems very durable and should take a lot of hammer.
A good idea is the tensioning bars in the back and seat which make sure everything stays rigid.
Only possible weak point is the clips, I am only using them on fresh water at present, I will let the 'Salty Ol' Dogs' comment further, but they are easily replaced if they do lock up. The plastic clips are a bit of a waste to be honest and can be taken off to be used elsewhere, leases possibly.
If you are looking for a good seat at a very reasonable price I would recommend this one, the choice is yours whether you need the higher back personally I think it depends if you want a very comfortable seat or an excellent one.
