Ditto to what "tester" has said with my loading bar. The inner bar is bent and will not slide in. As soon as I can find my receipt i'll be sending it back. Regards Mark

Surely with all these reported problems, the product isn't fit for purpose? You shouldn't have to carry out your own repairs to them!

There is a website called toys4cars.co.uk which has a yak loader which appears similar in design to the Eckla , but is cheaper - worth a look perhaps - It would be interesting to know what people who have bought them think of them.
The same website also has car roof bars cheaper by thirty pounds than Halfords roof bars for my hyundai i10 . Again I haven't bought them yet ,but at the price they seem okay.
You tube has some interesting and novel suggestions for loading yaks which I may try before getting a loading bar. I use a sturdy footstool at present to get my prowler on the roof rack, but it is alot of effort on my own. Thanks for this website - I have consistently found it informative over the last 2 years .

Apologies - the website for the kayak loader mentioned in the above post is www.solesupfront.com, but the roofbars link is toys4cars
