Just wondered what you all thought of this kayak the PELICAN STRIKE FROM AB LIESURE PELICAN STRIKE its made from a different material to the usual plastics its called Ram-x i havent seen it yet myself but the specks of the material are very similar to x-wrap from what i have read .has anybody seen one or any experience of the new material . i have spoken to David from ABleasure and he is droping one off for us to review on monday so it will be available if anybody would like to see it looks a very interesting kayak to me the new material is said to be more rigid than the plastic we are all used to seeing and because of its smooth glossy finish i would imagine it would glide well on the water . whats your thoughts on it guys

Thats what i find so interesting. so assuming it is vacume formed is the top cockpit and the bottom hull 2 individual vacume formed sections then joined together if so how or is there a way of vacume forming the whole lot in 1 go really looking forward to seeing it in the flesh

The strike paddled well even against a very "crisp" wind as the rain lashed down on us. A comfy, easy to paddle manouverable kayak. Shame the rain came down so heavy, it would have been good to stay out for the afternoon. Steve Ps. And Steve got wet again. Without falling in. Had a cag - in the car!!!!!!!!!!

Nice report Terry. I very much like the open deck area, perfect for a bag of lures etc and the weight is far less than the kayaks I have been paddling ( or motoring ) over the past few years. The price looks good so another one to upset the big boys me thinks.
Looking at the photo's, I assume the two halves are bonded or welded together and not made in one piece Terry.
