Saturday 2ond September I had the privilege of going out on a chartered trip out of Rhyl..... The weather was perfect as was the tide In company of long time friends and Welsh National Boat Anglers.......they can fish ! We went out on a 10 hr trip amongst and around the windfarms Skipper Gary looked after us, and I mean that ! Cups of tea just at the right times, hot pasties, cake, biscuits and beef bake slices in between the fish . The fishing was awesome here's a list of the catches........ Mackerel, herring, weaver, codling, whiting, bullhuss, doggies, plaice, flounder, dab red,tub and grey gurnard, rays and wrasse !!! There maybe a couple of species I've missed...... But,one of them times you feel made up for the those bad or blanking days..... These areas are well within reach of a kayak, and sure there will be fish even closer to shore than where we were. Safety first though.....even a charter boat not ours thankfully had to be towed in by the RNLI ! Also one charter boat reported a porbeagle circling it ! Probably trying to get at the mackerel being caught by the anglers on board ! Tight lines and stay safe on the water......don't leave it to chance.

Thanks for the report nala, I should fish around there more often but tend to shoot past on my way to the Lleyn. Massive part of my yak fishing is the beautiful and remote locations which I love, but a change nearer to home would be good some time. Is there only me and you left on here , has Facebook killed it ? Photo'ucket has stopped hosting all my pics too ! I suppose everything has to change, progress and all that - shame ! 😕 ☺
