Having had to wheel my sib to the waters edge first, before putting the outboard on the transom. What I did was to fit the bracket above the rubber, just into the transom only. And the nuts on the inside of the boat were above the air deck. I have seen some with the bottom bolts going through the rubber material overlapped skin of the keel. Which I didn't fancy doing even though I used sikaflex to seal. So, as the wheels were rubbing underneath when I put the engine on and gear into the boat. I decided to look for smaller wheels.........and they had to be the soft solid wheels like the ones which was on them but a tad smaller. Unfortunately I couldn't find any only pneumatic which were almost the same size. So, I had a brainwave ! To extend the legs ....... and found a guy locally to do the job He constructs, welds and fits auto stainless steel exhausts. So, the bottom end of the leg will be extended 75mm via a welded stainless steel sleeve. They'll be ready hopefully next week..,..... The the moral of this excercise is to have the brackets not too low on the transom and the nuts above the air deck

Not always an easy thing to get right Alan and I must confess to spending quite a bit of time looking and checking the fittings before actually going ahead with the drill. For me the very best are made in New Zealand, Beach Master wheels, superb but expensive by the time you get them into the UK but if funds allow, you will not get better. www.beachmaster.co.nz/Phil

Sib trolley legs done The welder, Sean, decided that a piece the same diameter butt welded to top and bottom end would suffice... So here's the results..........
