The next stage is to fit the kit ie floor foam covering secondary precaution only. Bench foam seat with below storage, bow anchor warp storage bag/holder. Hitting a wave hard can cause the anchor to jump up. As I've seen what a result of that looks like Launch wheels to fit to transom, and sounder/plotter where I'm not sure yet ? Transom eye bolts need fitting, handy for towing and can be used as a safety incase motor becomes detached from transom ! Seen that too, lucky throttle and gear cables were attached ! I've always bolted any big motor through the transom for security. Purchased a second hand jetski type trailer this is to save launch and fishing time as the slipways can be quite hectic in summer ! And if I go a few days on the trot all I'll need to do is trail it home, and wash it down with warm soapy water and cover until next trip. A lot of work ahead and very little time to do it in !

My new Excel 390 Volaire is now inflated with paddles bench seats and added storage fitted sitting on its trailer. As per manufacturers manual needs it to be inflated and left for 24hrs. Thankfully it's still inflated and holding the recommended pressures. It has a big boat feel to it with a much wider beam than my last boat !! A boat this size for a single handed operation needs to be on a small trailer as well as having launch wheels fitted too With a car cover purchased to protect it from the elements and seagulls is a must. I'm in the process of fitting the launch wheels and towing eyebolts. These are great for securing stern when mooring alongside. But will need to source better fittings (nuts and bolts) than the supplied screws ! These launch wheels aren't cheap, you think they'd come with descent fittings ! If they were fitted they'd rip out or snap off the transom, something to bear in mind when you purchase launch wheels. You'll need to finance extra and better fittings ...... Apologies for no photos they'll be put on after they've been resized on my home pc. Unable to do it on this tablet

A long story which I don't want to boar anybody Last Sunday evening I grabbed the Bull by the horns and just went for it ! Launching via it's trailer in the Menai Straits powered by the Tohatsu 9.8hp Had an enjoyable hour or so desperately needed The wind against tide didn't recede but brought the rain in full as I was coming back to the launch site ! Summing up the Excel 390 Volaire, just roll out and inflate is so convenient, durable and very stable ! I threw it into some tight turns it clung like a cat, and I had to hang on to the paynter There was no Mexican wave effect on the all-in-one inflatable hull it was so comfortable even wot over the waves ! It took off on a few and I was a bit weary heading into the wind of the inevitable happening . The maiden voyage was like a welcoming breath of fresh air ! I highly recommend this boat on the quality, design, build and use of Would have stayed out longer but wasn't wearing the dry suit !

Looking good, I hope you get plenty of use and enjoyment from it. I'm in the process of getting set up again but with a boat of around 3m with an aluminium floor powered by a 6hp to keep the weight down as I'll probably be alone launching.

Picked up a 3.3 airdeck quicksilver sib today
I can carry the boat on my shoulder its that light when all chambers, air floor and keel are inflated
Presume this will fly with my 10hp attached

It will go very very well with the 10hp on it as my hydroforce 3.3 mtr did with the 9.8 tohatsu.
The Excel 3.9 with the 9.8 tohatsu on it is the minimum sized motor to get it on the plane.
It's hard to believe the Hydroforce's stated weight says 62.5kg :0 !
The Excel 3.9 volaire states 60kg ?
And there's 0.3 mts difference in length compared to the Hydroforce and the Excel's beam is also wider !
I can only put the weight difference down to the floor design.
There's no ali or air deck or even a vee floor just the one ribbed design floor similar to a li-lo.
The keel is also incorporated in the design too.See previous pic on slipway.
I definately would have difficulty carrying it on my back though 😟
I'm hoping to be out with it on raft race day next week so if your about on the Straits ?
I believe the 3.3 and 10hp is an ideal one man combination for fishing 😋

Just a couple of photos on the water having evaluated the sea bloom was evident ! I struggled to catch anything but was blessed with the blanc saving doggie and a herring !!! Adjusted boat pressures on the water and adjusted engine tilt to the 3rd hole slot and it went and sounded a lot better ! Using only well below 2ltrs of fuel, having motored around a fair bit ! Floor was solid at the recommended 5.8psi so pleased with it 👍👍👍
