Last Friday a group of us chartered a 5hr fishing trip in the Menai. The weather was calm with a short spell of light rain, you could see it on the sea's surface. It was a slow start but picked up as the tide started to run. Whiting were the first to show followed by a flounder then the blank saving doggies ! A really pleasant evening and the skipper made us welcoming cup's of tea throughout the evening. I know from experience it could have been a lot better. But the fresh water from the melted snow and ice tends to put them off the feed. And as the tides to and fro it'll take some time to improve and clear the fresh water. The temperature is also a factor as the streams and rivers that flow from the mountains is a lot colder. Thus causing the sea temp to drop, a pleasant evening regardless full of the usual banter x

This was the view from the boat towards the Gazelle Hotel . A stroll over for a Guinness would have been great, even more amazing if I could have walked on water to get it!!! Not !!!😂😂😂
