Sweet ride! I like the compass and ff setup. The long crate will help you hold all the extras you need. The safety flag is a good addition, most just starting to use them here. In a good wind it might be slapping you a little and if it is a fiberglass pole it will fray and make you itchy . I have mine mounted to the rear of milk crate zipped tied to my light pole, out of the way and gives it a little extra height to be seen above the swells. Great job! All you need now is the FISH!

Like the majority of us angling yakers you have got yourself a nice looking setup , seems you have everything you need for a great fishing trip, but I cant help thinking you should get used to seeing your yak sat on a shingle beach while you sit there gazing out at the sea thinking..... GOD, IF ONLY I COULD GET OUT AND CATCH SOME FISH..........

Tony
I know how you feel mate. My fishing comes before yakking. I only got into yakking late last summer and have amazed myself by getting out as often as I have over the winter to try my hand at fishing. I am very grateful to Spud in this respect. Anyway I am looking forward to the summer and intend as planned to use the yak to help me catch fish, keep fit and happy. The rest of the stuff is a great bonus.

Hi Zedbra I think the cable you are refuring to (is not) the cable for my transducer its just an elasticated cord that connects my scupper bungs together so i dont loose them. The transducer is fitted through the yak like so.

The flag mount is a cable gland. When not using the flag i just loosen the nut and replace it with a nav light.

If you capsize just make sure you don't fall into that big net or re-entry may be a little tricky........
