Really fab place, hope you do well. Only fished once from the shore with no luck, but looks right promising!!

I've just come back from the North wales angling centre caernarfon where I was chatting to Dereckwho works there - great bloke. He was telling me that if you turn left from the car park at aberdesach and paddle past the headland (lobster pots there in summer) then there is a kelp bed which extends all the way to Clynnog between shore and 500 yards out. In his experience the place is stuffed full of Pollock and also coalies, codling and huss. His experience was from a boat and limited to the summer. So if we don't get out here on the weekend we definately need to bear the venue in mind for next year when the summer comes.

Nice one Ian- just the sort of local info that is needed sometimes- i have fished it in summer, camped around there actually- i can certainly confirm small conger, doggers , bull huss and rockling as summer catches. Will certainly have to make it a summer meet, perhaps even a campover on a site nearby Will be seeing Mr hatter3 tonight so i shall mention it in the right place.
