I hope to join you at tywyn assuming the weather is favorable but i am a local to tywyn and been waiting to launch for the last month and not been able to get out cos of this damn weather so lets hope for next week we get a bit of settled weather.

Its looking good!! Does anyone know if the mackeral are about or do we need a few frozen for bait? Cheers Karl It'll probably be about 8pm for me to.

The mackerel will be about Karl but if you are looking for tope straight off i would take some frozen to get going

Spud i launch from the town carpark and paddle up in my dorado adds about a mile or if launching an hour either side of high water the river is ok ;D

Thanks for that Lozz your worse than me a guessing distance ;D Its 3mile to the caravan site so must be 3.25m to the town ask Johnh & Monier ;D ;D ;D Will miss high water in the river so its over the top for me. Have had a few dodgy paddles back up to the town when the wind got up the surf up that end can be huge Are you on the reef this weekend PS Just goes to show how good the Dorado's are making a 3m paddle seem like 1m there flipping great ;D ;D ;D

I was hoping to but have made plans with friend to fish elsware i got my dates mixed up .i have been wondering about my distance judging at the weekend me and the misses paddled to the isle of wight from portsmouth (she has a pelican) it took 32mins and i was taking it easy ive paddled over an hour and a half to two hours offshore fishing makes me think iv been going a lot farther than the 2-3 miles i think im out

Get a gps Lozz 2hrs straight out in a Dorado is not 2 to 3miles it probably is in a P13. Its really hard to judge distance when out on the water. Last year we launch from the caravan park at Tywyn just slightly closer to the reef than the town. I told the lads it was 2mile to the reef turned out to be three Monier had his gps with him. I still get stick for it every time i say its not far to the mark ;D ;D ;D
