It would be a temptation to feed them, should I be lucky enough to see one, but after that very sound advise Terry, I'll give it a miss.

I have always given them a very wide berth! and if one does come near I will be off in a shot:-) I can see the attraction, but something that big is going to be treated like a big dog by me - I like dogs, I have two, but I still dont trust big ones I dont know! There is one seal near mackeral rock which is massive and has been well fed in the past by boat anglers - he now has mastered the knack of taking half a mackeral off your line whilst avoiding the hooked end! = now a major nuisance. Live and learn.
