Hi just joined, have been fishing on and off for years, have had a kayak for a couple of years and done a bit off wales and isle of man. The kayak is a Tarpon 100, smallish as they go but stable, light and easy to manoeuvre. Not into long distance paddles but great round rocky marks where you just cant get to from the beach.

Hi i am new to this forum but have been kayak fishing for about 4yrs, mainly on holiday in cornwall, Pembrokeshire and LLyn peninsular. I currently have a Malibu 2 which i find to be a great all rounder (1/2 hour with the kids equals a couple of hours fishing!!). I live in West Kirby and haven't done any fishing around there although I intend to change that this year. Look forward to meeting some members if anyone is up for a paddle. I work shifts so days off vary.

Just to say welcome to all new members from the admin team. Some of you already fish from kayaks, some have kayaks and don't yet fish, and some of you will be looking for kayaks. This time of year the forums are fairly quiet so its a good time to ask those questions you are pondering over. No matter how trivial the question seems someone else will be after the same answers. The forum is for the members so don't be shy and wait to post, as questions, photos and local knowledge is invaluable. Your a member now so use the forum to your advantage. Hi a Buddy, Zebra and Seajunky. just joined the forum, I am Degsie age 61 from near Chester, I am about to buy a Ocean Drifter big game as my first yak for fishing, have you any comments on this boat as its suitability for fishing, I will be fishing from Cricieth beach most of the time, also was wondering how easy the boat would be to get on the roof rack of my free-lander, grateful for any input, Many thanks. Degsie Jones.
