Thanks Zebra. Will get a couple of mates on here who are newbies like myself then hopefully organise some kind of meet! Oh, just to confuse things my name is actually Stephen! I chose my username due to a private joke, and its a long story!

Hi all, been lurking for a while, so it is about time I took the plunge. Bought a Moken last summer and managed to get a few sessions in before the winter closed in. Now I have the yak fitted with a fishfinder and a tackle box full of new plastic- I'm raring to go! All I need now is the water temp to rise and the fish to come inshore. Anybody fancy wetting a line or just going for a paddle, drop me a pm.

Hi all, stubled upon this site looking for a kayak for my brother inlaw. Ive often fancied fishing from my kayak and I have sometimes dragged a spinner behind me near the beach at RAF Valley in Anglesey to no avail. Im in Liverpool but have a caravan on the estuary between Holyhead and Anglesey. Ive been going there and fishing (not from a kayak) and kayaking (without rod) for about 15 years. I have a pyranha G3 www.kayaksandpaddles.co.uk/canoe/kayak/uk/shop/productpages/pyranha-kayaks/pyranha-g3.htm at the moment. Anyway enought ramblin.

Hi goronwy. Welcome to the forum. The G3 is no good for fishing from but a good kayak to have fun with. Search through the forum and you will find lots of good advice. Any questions just ask. Steve

Hi Buddy, agreed, getting the rod in and out of the cockpit wouldnt be easy. Im a kayaker first and fisherman 2nd. Im hoping to get a mad river or old town at some point so should improve the fishing aspect.
