Hello all I love what you have set up here and it makes useful and enjoyable reading. I do alot of coarse fishing and try and sea fish as much as posible usually Anglesey where i take my holiday. I am currently looking to start Kayak fishing and I have been looking at the Drifter Angler from Ocean but as I suppose everyone finds its alot of cash to find upfront. Do any of you know any retailers that sell these kayaks on finance.
Thanks for any response
John

Havnt heard of any retailers doing that John, and second hand prices are pretty steep at present compared to new price (although may well soften towards the end of the summer).
Best option might be to go for a 0% on purchases credit card which will give you 12 to 18 months interest free credit on purchases.

Mr Chaos... I have a Drifter, and although its fantastic for learners, I really wish I hadn't bought such a wide kayak, which is designed for 20 stone plus lardy arses, if this isn't you, then get a Prowler or the incredibly cheap Freedom Angler. The Prowler cuts through the waves instead of the Drifter's hull slap which gets on your nerves after a while. The Scupper Pro paddles brilliantly, there is no need for a kayak 6.5" wider.

Well not 20st but at 6ft 2" and 17st i thought the3 drifter suited me better. I havent looked at the Freedom I will go look now.

Prowler elite would possibly be a good one to try - bit longer than my prowler 13 but similar performance.

I had no choice but to save for mine. If i hadn't, i would have bought the wrong boat. Take a good think about what you want because you do change your mind. I'm 6' 17 1/2st and had my mind set on the big game for the stability, changed my mind and wanted something less stable and closer to the water. Bought the Tarpon 140 and couldn't be happier. If your just looking at pictures just now, don't be put off looking at something longer, they're not as big as you think they are. Especially when you see them in the flesh and when you sit in them. Good luck!

I am almost 16 stone and 6'3", I'm not saying I've got a problem, I'm just saying that other kayaks are sleeker

Hi jonnychaos, you could try shrewsbury marine in frankwell, i got my drifter from there but not sure if they do finance. they sometimes have quite a few ocean kayaks in and i have seen a couple on offer with money off, worth a look. The drifter is a wide kayak and does take a little more effort to paddle than some, like the prowler 13" and the freedom angler that boomphat told you about, but i am sure that enyone who has one or been in a drifter will tell you that they are very stable . But you will have more control with a slimmer kayak in the surf.

hi john, Brookbank Canoes in Manchester do credit at zero percent interest. I'm not sure how much you have to spend i think its a hundred pound or so, as long as your credit checks out OK then its ten percent of what you are buying down and your off. The staff are very helpful and no hard sell.
john ;D ;D ;D
