Hi Buddy, Looks like you have done a really good job with the fish finder, just in the process of thinking how to fit mine to my Moken 12, and I was wondering where did you put the transponder as theres a ridge down the middle, and I was thinking about using a scupper hole.
If your not busy you could always pop round and show me how....... I'm in Manchester myself.
Cheers Mate

Hello Buddy, i am new to kayaking and have seen the Moken 12 in a local Kayaking shop. The other fishing kayak they had for sale was a Mantaray 12, cant make my mind up between the two.
What would you recommend for a beginner ?, is there any thing between the two ?.
Cheers

Hi Buddy
i have just got myself a moken 12 and have all the bits ready to fit a trolley system. I have noticed though that you have only gone from the handle to the rear of the kayak? I have seen most people fit theirs the full length of the boat, do you find this more advantageous or does it not really matter. The main reason i ask is that if you put apulley at either end when you thread the trolley rope and fix it fairly tight the rope will sit above the edge of the boat in the middle?
Any help would be gratefully received.
Cheers Phill

Hi Phill. There is no right or wrong way. I have gone from the handle to the front. There is less rope to tangle or hinder a re-entry than a full length anchor trolly. I would rather anchor from the front as you can see the anchor rope and i dont fancy retrieving a rope from behind especially if it is stuck. The down side is that you generally fish over the side or in front so the anchor rope could cause a problem. On the other hand if you hit something big and it runs with the tide it will be running towards the back and away from the rope. Personal choice, A full length gives you more flexibility but more loose rope along the side of your yak. Hope this helps Steve

I have just bought a Moken 12, like the look of the front to back anchor trolley that u have fitted on your yak deano.
Do you reckon that the bungee that connects the blocks (pulleys) could be connect via a loop to loop kind of connection to the moulded carry handles (front and back).
I think i will give it a try and see what i come up with as i want to use a bit form both of your set ups..
