Just aquired some of the above! I presume you use them at night or in murky waters? Looks like you attach them onto a hook and cast like usual? They look like a small silver torpedo shape with a red flashing led on the end then your line and a hook
Anyone used them or shed some light on these devices?

I haven t used them yet? v slighty skeptical? If i catch i wont be!
i heard the flashing red light looks like a bleeding fish but then i heard fish can only see black and white but have the brain activity to see in colour?
i ll just have to give it a go like most type of fishing
cheers for the feed back thou!

they can probably see the light , even very faint light - all sorts of sea creatures give off light and predators respond to it - for example I have found luminous beads very good for attracting whiting.

Struggling to find these "GAVIA LED FLASHING LURES" on the internet. Could you add a link to the ones you are talking about David?

Interesting. Nothing like I expected. Once you try them out you'll need to tell us your findings mate. I suppose you could try out different lures etc on it also. Only thing about it would be the cost of loosing the things. Typical Scots way of thinking eh? ;D

Yes will do ! That crossed my mind as well but its only under £2 for one as its £6.99 for 3 and i usually pay £10 for a deep diving husky rapala! which kills you when it gets snagged on the bottom!!
Wheres Thurso ? Devon
