Ok after the trouble I had Saturday with my poor quality terminal tackle I need to find a new box. I bought a 16" tool box from halfords which fits perfectly in the front most part of the rear storage compartment in the Big Game. The problem is that this box lets in alot of water and whenever it rains or gets sea spray on it my terminal tackle gets wet and all the hooks get rusty, this caused alot of missed fish the weekend as I was getting bite after bite and not all were doggie bites. So I am looking for any suggestions on a tackle box or maybe a picture/description of what you are using to store your tackle Here is a pic of mine John

I'm looking for the idea fishing box. At present i'm using water tight (joke) plastic butty boxes and try to keep the tackle I take out to a minimum. One of the best ideas i've seen was a tackle box system devised by Buddy using a plastic box and velcro, the box top doubles up as a chopping board. I need to get a photo of this to devise my own. Buddy any chance of a photo or two ;D ;D
Cheers
Tim

The Big Game, when new, comes with a small water tight tackle box made by Plano. I use mine to keep all my hooks and swivels in. I lay tissue paper soaked in WD40 or 3in1 oil in each compartment and keep my hooks covered over with the tissue. It's cheap and it works. John

try putting 3/4 grains of rice in your compartments to draw any moisture that works as well all you do is when you notice the rice swelled up put a few more fresh grains in the compartments

Hi John
you may have noticed a bit of spray (not to mention green water)flying around on Sunday at LLandudno. I ended up with about a cupfull of water in my tackle box. I think the reason is that the handle sits in a moulded recess in the box and the handle is held into the tackle box with plastic pins. The water fills up the recess and then has nowhere to go except to drip through the pin holes into the box. I've been down to B&Q and most are like this. Some more expensive ones have handles that clip onto the exterior which should be watertight. I'll either have to fork out for a new box or remove the handle on my box and fill up the holes with araldite. Or did you find a better solution?
Ian.

I bought sometinhg similar to that Jonny, except it was from UK Hooks and is bright orange...and cost about £25 !
Earlier this year I had a capsize, and despite being under water for a minute or two, there was very little water inside...even in the fliptop section, which isn't intended to be waterproof.
So, all being well it should be a big improvement on the B&Q box. Good luck with it.

Try an Igloo ice box - 25 litre size. It has a side hinge which makes it great for access when in your crate - use buty boxes inside it for the various items, one for weights, one for terminal bits, another for lures etc. The ice box is big enough to take your lunch as well - maybe you need the 50litre size for ALL your lunch!!!
