For what its worth, after much thrashing of the water and a bit of fish catching ;D, I found power pro 20lb the easiest and most consistent of the braids i have tried .

i have used fire line20 pound since it came out many moons ago and have tried dozens of others since, including powerpro which i have on my reels now(shimano stradic, calcutta and new american baitrunner 6000d) and will be going back to fireline next time i spool up. i bottom fish and plug from the shore and off my kayak . although i have had a few wind knots with the powerpro of late, i can hoestly say i have had virtually none with the fireline. the only problem with the fireline ,if it really is one at all is it looks a bit frayed after a fair bit of use, however it does not affect the lines strength .fireline is also under rated on its breaking strain by at least 20 %, it breaks much higher than stated on the spool.( i tested it years ago when working at a cable manufacturers on specialised machinery. ps if you do buy fireline get the original one in grey or crystel as the new xds version is not as good. the white crystal, white line sometimes puts people off as they think the fish can see it easier, but hold something white and something dark upto the sky and see which one is more visible. hope this helps

hi have just got into kayak fishing but have been fishing for a long time and have used all kinds of braided lines and i think that the 1 cash convertors do is a good as any for its diameter and strength and value

I use some of the 8 strand PE braids for various stuff. Amazing the diameter, breaking strain and suppleness of the stuff literately like the cotton you would thread through a needle. If only it was as cheap tho!
Yamatoyo PE 0.8 8lbs YGK wx8 PE 1.5 25lbs

Ouch! They ARE expensive. I know quality costs but not in the scope of the average angler unfortunately.
