Me and fisher set off from the North Shore by the washington at around 18:30. George came down to to wave us off and take a couple of pics of fishers madein voyage (nice of ya to come down george shame ya couldnt have a paddle ). Conditions couldnt have been more perfect we paddled off and left george on dry land and headed towards the end of the pier to have a laugh at all the noddies cramed on to the landing platform at the end. We went under the pier and had five minutes cutting off lead weights from the iron work ;D and had a few casts with redgills.
From the end of the pier we headed off around the orme past pigeons cove and to a little mark that can only be reached by yak ;D. We had a few macks and fisher managed the 1 silver fella on a dexter easy walker (not sure if there are any bass rules here but this mark can only be reached by yak)
We could of carryed on fishing until dark but thought it unwise due to the paddle back so we headed for home and reached the shore just as it was going dark.
Heading for home
All in all a great little trip and a brilliant first trip for fisher. We both were very suprised at the speed we getting on the yaks in calm conditions and it was also agreed that catching fish from the yak is 10 times more fun that catching them from the shore ;D
PS. Tried out my new fladen BA and was very imprest it doesnt restict your movment in the slightest and all the pockets were brilliant for holding my bits and bobs (camera, pliers etc) well in ray im very chuft with it ;D
