Good thinking that man, I must bring a fish home this time even if I visit Tescos on the drive back ;D
PS Don't forget to charge your VHF Radios.

;DYou have to laugh though- this weather has certainly conspired against our meets this last few months and its probably going to try again tomorrow As for fish- i was sitting quietly last week and my misses chirped up: Her: Are the Whiting in yet? Me: Yes Her: Why dont you go and catch some then ? I hate hard questions. ;D Looks like i might be with you in tescos as well Tim- all the best ;D

Only viable venue seemed to be Benllech beach a few miles short of Moelfre. Tide was out so long walk to the sea accross the sand. Wind was very strong and out to sea. Kayaked to the left of the beach seeking shelter in the rocky bays but the wind was strong to the extent we could barely paddle back to the beach. Kayaking at or limits so no fishing done. Back to George's roadside cafe for soup and rolls - thank you George.
Your welcome sir and looking forward to the next time- next month or before that - i suspect - we've still got to get them big whiting before they leave- (next meet soon please ) they're getting 2lbers and more on the East Coast- lets see what Spud brings back from his trip to Scarboroughon Sunday - good luck- g

Firstly, Thanks to all that turned up on one of the windiest days i've ever been fishing and, as Hughesey said, big thanks to George and his 'Chef de partie' Adam for the wonderful food. The weather was a little damp, but we can all put up with that, but the wind was something else. Luckily we decided to just yak just a sort distance and not to fish as the wind was trying to turn us over. Coast guard weather warning over our VHF radios said expected gale force 9 so we took heed, and kept safe. Here are a couple of photos which do make it look as if the weather was ok, but note it was so windy, even Spud had to take his hat off. Again, thanks for the great company and can't wait for the next meet (without the wind please Hatter3 ;D) Oh ps sorry Hatter3 about your reel, I only do 'yellow shock leader ) Cheers Tim
