Hi all, I have been reading about the Kaskazi Marlin ARX which appears to be 2 yaks in one, a sit-in sea kayak and a sit-on top fishing kayak. Does any one have any experience of using one of these? Thanks for any information. Regards, Giff.

Hi Giff, i picked mine up a couple of weeks ago, first pic shows the removable deck cover in place, and next one shows it with the cover removed, and the Grandson sat in it i have not got out fishing off it yet, just managed a paddle on the local canal.i found it a joy to paddle . where are you based ?. if you were close enough to me you would be welcome to have a try on it sometime.

Hi Andyw, That certainly looks great. Unfortunately I live near Southampton, otherwise I would certainly take you up on your offer.Perhaps later in the year I will get up your way. I would be very interested to know whether it is stable enough to fish from when anchored and also whether you can self rescue when the removable deck is not fitted. I am a senior citizen and I do not think I would be strong enough to do kayak rolls! I am sure you are going to enjoy it. Do let us know how you get on. Regards, Giff.

Hi Giff, i have not had chance to fish off it yet or anchor it up so cant really advise on that, feels just as stable as my prowler to me, plenty of info about if you do some searching.
Steve 07, how are you getting on with your Tarpon, not seen any reports since tou unwrapped it ?.

Hi Terry, not done self rescue in any mode yet, have only paddled it on the local canal up to now. might get some practice at it this Sunday. personally i doubt i will use the detachable cover as i like it without,i will maybe try it sometime though and may just like it.

Havin bought a sink to go with the sot I have to say Andy at times in the cold particularly the sink is warm and cosey. When you want to go for a paddle in the rain it is nice to just pop the spraydeck on and paddle. I guess the increased stability and the scupper holes will make the ARX easier to self rescue than a conventional sink with no escape from the water that gets shipped.
You lucky b%gger Andy, I am envious.
Terry
