Nice one, i must admit that i loved my Tarpon 120 and wish i had not sold her. The hatches on these have been improved greatly resulting in almost no water ingress. I fitted ram tubes just to the rear of the seat which worked out much better for me than the sliding track system with scotty mounts but that is a personal taste thing. Enjoy!! Phil

I'm thinking of fitting the RAM mounts also, want to keep the front deck as clear as possible. You have any pictures of your Tarpon with the RAM mounts? Also any suggestions on fishfinders about £150-£200 mark, one which really works and not just flashes up nice colors on the screen. Thanks

Lovely yak and well set out. As a matter of interest how do you find the c-tug with hard wheels ? If you are going to go for a Garmin they are increasing prices on all there products very soon.
I'm sure someone will be along soon to to advise which is the best fishfinder within that price range.

The c-tug is fine on the sand, wet or dry no problem. But on the hard stuff it can really shake the boat about. There is no give in the wheel at all. Some kind of foam rubber outer rim would have been good.

Hi Dave. Sorry no photos with the ram tubes in place but mine were mounted where you have your rear rod holders as mine did'nt come with any. If i were to have another i would place them just to the rear of the seat on the wide lip as i had them a touch too far back. The best bet is put your pfd on and position them on the yak to find optimum position. I used the Garmin 140 ff which at around £105 on ebay is spot on and leave it on auto until such times as you want to play around with it. I did not go for the aluminium ram tubes, i went for the plastic 119 which i find both strong and easier to locate the rod into as it has a slightly coned design. Have a look on H2o site and you will see what i mean. Phil
