Just found this brilliant write up, nice one rzaskar I've read recently that darker lures work best in the upper layers due to them creating a better silouette, any comments on this ? Cheers Rich

As long as the drift is not too fast this is the best method for any form of lure fishing. The bait is presented more natural and you cover a lot more ground. If the wind is creating too much drift you can solve that by using a drogue. My favourite form of fishing along with trawling. Just a pity we are into winter now and far more limited when it comes to lure fishing. When you read a super article like that you want to get out there and get stuck in with success.

This is an excellent article. I've been reading bits and pieces about lure fishing and find the quantity and quality of such articles confusing. The same can be said of the lures availbale in most tackle shops. This brief article has given me better focus and a clearer insight to lure fishing than anything that I have read to date. Simply outstanding.
