No,not yet Zebra i want to add a short bit of chain maybe to keep it on the sea bed....we'll see what happens.
Also tweek the edges with a soft grinding disc,to help it bed-in and hold.
The reason i've made my own from this nylon material is its lighter, very tough and hopefully won't clatter and spook the fish? or damage the kayak...

Well done that man. I will be most interested to see how it works, just not sure if the anchor will dig in as it does not have the weight of a normal anchor. Please keep us up to speed with this Nala

Does chopping board not float? If it does, you may end up with your anchor chain on the bottom and your anchor floating just above it! It's a clever idea if it works.

Hi,thankfully it sinks, but what i need to do is use a short length of leaded line/rope. The type they use for fishing nets,im after something that doesn't clatter on the seabed and spook the fish. ps just posted fitting my anchor trolley and lowrance 4dsi.. Thanks for your interest and ideas it keeps me inspired and motivated....

Just remember that the weighted rope does not bend easily so it could be a real problem on the kayak and I have caught fish all around the kayak so I don't think the chain will cause you any real issues.
