Hi Guys, today I had the privilege of a few hours instruction from Steve and Terry on the Leeds + Liverpool canal. This morning I was a total virgin kayaker I am now able to paddle using different techniques but most importantly I have been taught how to self rescue. this may sound a bit lame, but the confidence the two guys have given me is brilliant, It may one day save my life or someone else's. I tried to pay Steve and Terry for the fuel they used getting to the venue, but NO WAY would they accept any payment for expenses. It was agreed that I should make another donation to the Mike Peel fund. Top day -- Top guys. Kev.

Was a good afternoon and a pleasure to meet Kev. Well done to Kev as he did very well for a novice. Took to it like a duck to water. Struggled with the first re entry but didn't take long to master it. Well done and look forward to paddling again. Steve.

I second your comments about Terry and Steve. The courses they ran helped many people, me and my grandson included. To top all that they are a great pair of guys, ugly maybe , but generous with their time. A rare thing these days. They seem to get their rewards from people learning vital safety techniques. They are the guys that have made this site so friendly to all comers. Terry
