There's a can of worms ! (Geddit !) Trolling motor or those sweet little sails on your kayak and what exactly ? I think Galaxy are going in a good direction, I know it's nanny state stuff, but reassuring none the less that there is a search for applicable safety standards

Galaxy are planning to start putting numeric id's on the kayaks. Not sure about France but I know they are fully compliant in Spain where they are selling very well as the Galaxy Alboran. www.galaxykayaks.eu/es/109-alboran-individualTerry

Ce marking for recreational water craft stipulate that there must be a unique hull number.
Quality records must be maintained as well. Which is a good thing.
But this could backfire . Once it has a hull number and is no longer exempt from the recreational water craft directive it may have to legally in the UK at least carry flares and a vhf radio as a minimum when at sea.

OK's have had an impressed hull number for years and has never had any restrictions on it's usage. Well as far as I know.

Perception do as well but not as part of a ce approval.
Its only when the boat is ce approved . And then possibly only if it is non human powered.
