Hi all, I'm going over to Anglesey next week to look at static holiday caravans. Ideally somewhere near Holyhead, but open to ideas Any got one on a nice site? Know of somewhere nice ?

You can't buy happiness. But you can buy fishing gear. It's kind of the same thing.

Try penryn bay. It's the other side of the bay from Holyhead. You can see it from the breakwater. penrhynbay.com. I have a seasonal pitch there. Gaz

Thanks Gilly. It is because there are a few that I wondered if someone had experience of a really nice site As I said, Holyhead are would be my favourite, love it there. We'll probably go over in the easter holidays to check some out

Penrhyn bay seems to be tourers and tents, I'm looking to buy a static on a nice site handy for fishing I'm planning now to rent a cottage from the 10th April, I have a safety course on the 11th, and then a few days checking out parks and hopefully some trips out on the yak Still be handy if anyone has any personal experience, good or bad......

That's not obvious from the website! OK, thanks, I'll put both of those on my visit list. I had heard of Sandy Beach. Cottages are quite cheap there too, which offers the possibility of holiday lets........ I love Anglesey, couldn't live there though, too quiet by far :-)

I've realised that I can spot all of the holiday parks easily on Google Earth! Combine that with the Navionics chart to find good fishing specs and I could be on to something...... I love my IPhone :-)
