I'm off on this Friday/Saturday 9th 10th Oct',if there's anyone on the forum kayakers or SIB'ers....who fancies fishing the Menai Staits
Or anywhere else around the Island.....with weather & tide taken into consideration...

Well,Friday the 9th i decided to do something different......plugging from the shore..
Result,zilch although they were literally under my feet in 2 foot of water attacking and taking small bait shoaling baitfish...
Saturday 10th was a different ball game......my nephew decided to take his boat out and asked if i'd like to come...
Didn't have to ask me twice,like a rat up a drain pipe...we initially were heading for Holyhead......
But,my instinct suggested we go to Caernarfon Bay........and it paid off... : )
We had a fantastic display of Dolphins..! ! ! Who needs to go to Sea World when its on the doorstep in its natural habitat...
Mackerel were betrayed by the presence of Gannets...and Dolphins in hot pursuit.. quite a rare thing to see this time of year... :/
We caught mackerel,whiting,thornback rays,bullhuss,doggies All day...!
I even caught 2 mackerel on a 50mm metal spinner with a twin treble hook....! One on each.....mental !!!
A unique quality day spent with my nephew..........and he cleverly plott's the marks i take him to......
At least one day sometime in the future,maybe he'll pass on that knowledge..... : )
....i didn't take any camera with me... :0
