is it possible to launch from Porth Meudwy? is there anywhere to park nearby. If not there anywhere else close by on the southern coast? I've just been looking at google maps and I don't know the end of the Lleyn particularly well, but fancy a trip out that way sometime this week. Many thanks

Hi Chris
It is a long way to wheel the yak down hill from a small grass car park. The gate at the top is locked and only local semi pro boat skippers have access , so you can't take your car down for launching. It is a short paddle from Aberdaron so much better to launch from the National Trust car park there - weather permitting , the wind is often against you at Aberdaron. Take great care if yakfishing this bay, the tide rips close to each headland will take you ! Stay well inside the bay and your fine.
Cheers
Phil
