Hi guys, any recommendations on a kit etc?
I have a few questions:
1) Do i go for wellnuts or rivets? (at the bow there’s a storage hatch so i'll use nuts and bolts here). 2) Is a bungee shock absorber worth doing? if so what type/diameter bungee? 3) Shall i remove the life line on the side of the kayak where i plan to run the trolley? some people utilize the guides here for the trolley rope i noticed.
thanks

Hi Deme
I always hated using well nuts to be honest, simply don't like the product. Not a huge fan of rivits although the plastic lined that were sold by H2o were quite good, I think on every kayak, I cut a 4'' hole at the rear so that I could fit nut / bolt to the rear pulley. A 4'' hatch is cheap enough and you know when you use stainless bolts, it is secure.
I didn't use a shock absorber at all because it can and usually does lead to the main anchor trolley pulling up over the deck whereas if it is not under tension, it can run freely and not get caught on anything.
Life line........your call, if it doesn't get in the way or could snag, then fine. My life line used to be connected to a seperate point directly behind the set out of the way until needed but your decision really.
Phil

Feels quite secure.
