You could just attach a deck eye to each side close to the back and attach your pulleys to them!!!

You are spot on there curly, but I'm too nervous about drilling holes. I have been considering somehow using the bolt holes that are there for a rudder. If I could find bolts that fit nicely above and below I should be able to attach stretch cord to this. This will help me get trolley much further back than where is already is.

They are the holes I used. They are a 5mm thread. I had to shorten the bolts as the holes are only shallow!!

Thursoman,
I have a P13 and I used the threaded inserts intended for a rudder to fit the stern end of my anchor trolley to. I took one of the plastic rope tidies (had a couple spare, but you could take one from elsewhere on the yak) and screwed this into one of the threaded inserts on the top of the yak at the stern. Then, made a loop of bungee attached to the plastic rope tidy thingy and attached the anchor trolley to that. This way the anchor trolley reaches almost right to the back of the yak, and no holes get drilled. Let me know if this makes sense. If not let me know and I'll try and explain it better.

That is brilliant hake! ;D It certainly does make sense. Many thanks indeed. If I take one of my rope tidys off I should be able to use the bolt also. Good thinking ma man. Hmmm, just wondering if I do have a rope tidy spare? I'll need to investigate that one. Thank you.

When I fitted my anchor trolley I removed the rope from that side of the yak. If I'm in the water on that side of the yak I can grab hold of the trolley line (instead of the rope). This was how I came to have a spare rope tidy thingy and bolt.

Yes, I remember this is what I did also so that's great that I have a couple of rope tidys spare. Ta.

I've had my anchor trolley rigged that way for a couple of years and it works just fine.
