Please can anyone,with some good knowledge help me on this one.Im stuck with the chose between ocean kayaks Caper or the mini x angler.I read about hatches leaking and stuff bit worrying. so any plus and minuses would be much appreciated.oh and hope to meet up with you lot in future for some tips on sea fishing never done it. so cant wait to get yak.

Have you sat in either of these to make sure that you are comfy? If you plan to use it on the sea its best to get the longest and narrowest. I've read stuff about the Caper that said its not great against winds/tides, depends what you intend to do. If you have the money for a new Caper, then definitely look at Scupper Pro/Prowlers before you lash out mate.

I have a caper angler , it handles ok for for the job its made for. If you want to have a go in it let me know.

Thanks for the response lads.im going to use it to learn sea fishing and do some lakes and some rivers.I chose these two yaks because of there size for storage.hopefully will have a sit in them soon if i can find a dealer of both makes near to me or at least a reputable dealer. going to be going to the canoe expo aswell.oh and will be buying two brand new.wifey wants one for bay hopping.

bones i have a mini-x you are welcome to try it out .i have it with me at all the meets .where are you based .also consider the manta 10 .its also in the review section and very easy to carry and store .

Thanks for the offer zebra might just take you up on that.had a look at the mantra 10.but i still fancy the mini x.also im in the cheshire area.so shouldnt be to hard for me to meet up with you.

Hi Bones I have the Mini X too and am in the Crewe area if you want to chat/look at it sometime. I also now go to the meets if you want to try it. Just don't turn it into a Mini-Sub is all I ask ;D Gerry
