Hi all, I managed to get my new kayak wet at last! A few glorious hours at Point Lynas with the kids. Decided that I need a new paddle. And my dry suit was OK but a little hot when the sun was out. Can't wait now to kit it out with bits and bobs for fishing!

looks like you had cracking weather, not a breath of wind on the water, so you didnt wet a line at all then??
I tell you what though, the yellow yaks stand out well on the water.

Easy for helicopters to spot!!! God forbid! No fishing today, just finding my sea legs. Not long now though.

Hi Ray, The Malibu was OK! But without having a go on another kayak what do I know?? Boats are my thing! I was hoping to buy a 'Big Game' But the Malibu was a steal at £350 with seats and paddles. There is a 'Drifter' made by Ocean, that is also 34" wide which I thought about but decided I need to walk before I can run. I'm just getting the feel of things at the moment. My two lads loved it though and are keen to have their own kayaks. As you say It was very stable, but it was flat calm, and my first time in a kayak. As for the safety meet, I'm struggling as I have commitments, but I know Will Williams and I'm sure he will give some good advice Anyway, cheers for now, Narcan
