Fishfinder,Transducer, battery location

Guys are there any problems with placing the fishfinder directly above the battery or having the transducer close to both of these? I'm thinking of interference, poor signal etc.
Do you think extra insulation is required if they are in close proximity?

They should be OK.
on my garmin 140 both cables are individually screened to avoid interference but allow a cople of inches to make sure.
