This is a kayak manufactured here in the UK by Pyranha. Its a crossover kayak designed to be used for both river running and touring. I have used this for one of our courses and a few times on flat water. It is 11ft long, sit inside. Its unbelievably stable, very manouverable and tracks well. it also has a retractable skeg to make the tracking even better if touring. For touring it has a rear hatch that will hold quite a bit of kit. The kit is kept dry wirh a good fitting push on hatch and a fitted bulkhead that also makes the kayak unsinkable. It is quite quick compared with our sit ins and is very forgiving and user friendly. I will be using this for our courses as it is quick and manouverable. It will be used to denonstrate re entry,s with the sit on tops as you may need to help someone in a sit in when you are out on the water. Anyone wanting to try the kayak get in touch with me and i am sure we can arrange a demo. Full spec can be found on pyranah's website. www.venturekayaks.com/

Very impressed by the look of these I have to say. I am particularly interested in the stability of these. How would you compare the stability of one of these compared to a conventional SOT? Also as a matter of interest do you find you need to adjust you paddle technique slightly with the raised section around your legs? p.s Terry that's some size of pond you have in your garden by the way! ;D Chris

Hi Chris Sorry for the late reply, Ive been in magaluf (in the rain) Pyranah advertise the Flex as their most stable sit inside. Its so stable it ouses confidence even with a complete novice. Like Curly says, he has the 17' Easky and he finds that stable. The first time i got in one it felt so narrow i thought i would be swimming within 2 minutes. but within 2 minutes i was full of confidence and realy enjoyed using it. Steve.

Hi Steve, sounds impressive, very impresive indeed. Would be very interested to see one of these kitted out for fishing to see where all your gear and of course fish would be situated. Chris
