Finally getting round to doing a short review of the "LED Lenser H7" Here’s the specs LED: 1 x Cree Weight: 117 g Luminous flux: 140 lm Batteries: 3 x AAA Energy tank: 5,4 Wh Burning life: 75 h The great thing about this well made headtorch is the fact it has such a long battery life. Well over 50hrs with 3xAAA. This also means it is very light compared to my old Draper light. It has a focus system that basically means you can change from flood to spot light very quickly. Also at the back is a Dimmer switch. So is bright? Yup. Most certainly is! To start my test off here is a photo of my hallway in the dark. Sorry about the photos quality. Really tricky trying to keep the camera still enough for these type of conditions. The little spot of light you can see is a streetlight Shining through my daughters curtain. This next photo is a picture of old Draper headlight in action. The 4 AA batteries were fully charged. Now compare it to the H7 on the floodlight setting= Notice the difference? Crumbs really shows off the dodgy paint job on the walls! And this is the spotlight setting: As you can see the light is really burning on the curtain. I switched it off before it caught fire. ;D This torch is amazing. It's so bright you have to be careful not to look directly into it or it will melt you eyes. Very happy with it indeed with this and at £33.99 delivered at 7dayshop I reckon I got a bargain. Very handy for the winter months for some Cod sessions. Chris

www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_8&products_id=105156Price seems to have gome up a few quid but still a good deal. £39.99 These LED lensers use the latest LED technology. Not only is this far brighter than conventional torches the battery life is far longer. I was out on the beach the other night with mine when I noticed a chap fishing so I went over for a chat as you do. He also had an LED headtorch which was a good bit bigger than mine and had a strip of lights instead of my single. However his torch was not nearly as bright as mine. ;D Just shows not all LEDs are the same. Chris

Way too many coats on your coat rack........ ;D
Looks good. The only problem I had with my LEd lenser was corroding on the alloy housing. Though I never did wash it off.......

Lol, funny you should mention the coats Rob. One of the hangers snapped the other day as it happens. ;D ;D ;D Thanks for the point about corrosion there. Will try and make sure I give it a wipe etc after use. Chris

As a matter of course I try and give all of my electronics a rince in fresh water, and then a good spray of WD40 or simalar.

Good idea that Steve. Being trying to get hold of swarfega duck oil for some time locally for my electrics such as the fishfinder connections etc as it's supposed to be very good for electrics. Having said that I've been using wd40 and seems to do the job well enough.

Its not bad, but I do think its just so important to give things a good rinse in fresh water first.
