Reliant Regal van (same as only fools and horses one) (driven on motorcycle licence with reverse blocked off for a few months) Winter transport for bikers lol - was actually a very good car. Did overturn it on the bends on the welsh coast road thought - just got out and pushed it back over - those were the days

I had a blue Mini 1000 Van ( PEK995L ) with 4 brand new remoulds and sumptuous 1 1/2 inch sound proofing stuck on floor and around rear wheel arches.
Oh what fun, say no more.
Those where the days and petrol only 59p a gallon 1980.

1969 ex post office Morris 1000 van
When i bought it, it had one seat and no battery.
My dad gave me a tow home with it and as we were going i could hear a knock, knock, knock from the front wheel. The further we went the quicker and louder it got.
because i had no battery i couldnt let him know there was a problem. I tried braking, waving but the first he knew about it was when my front wheel overtook him.
Unbelievably we were about 100yds from a garage where a mate worked so we borrowed ajack put the wheel back on and it was fine after that.
They dont make em like that anymore

Mine was a 5 or 6 year old Ford Anglia with about 37,000 miles on the clock and it was knackered. When it rained I had to stuff rags under the dashboard to stop the water coming in... it didnt stay long though because it ran out of the holes in the floor...lol

In 1969 i bought a Ford Anglia in deep maroon with under floor vents, it had BIG holes in the front floor wells where the water came through. In the warmer weather i still kept my beloved Lambretta Li 150 scooter............Oh yes, the petrol was 5/- per gall if you are to young to know what that means it is £0.25 per gall with a free Esso tigers tail, remember those, they went with the bullet hole window stickers. I'm stopping there, old tart. Phil
