Werner Ikelos paddle This is my review of the Werner Ikelos full carbon paddle The ikelos as you would expect from Werner is a top quality paddle With Full size foam core blades that are light and buoyant this one has full carbon crank to both sides of the shaft this makes it very easy to use and lightweight with Powerful catch and smooth linking strokes this is a top quality paddle Shown here side by side each of the 2 sections has a cranked shaft and drip rings The high gloss finish to the blades gives a great appearance Even the rear of the blade is cleverly designed so that water runs away from it on the lift of the stroke You can see the shape of each buoyant foam core blade The superb Werner locking mechanism is both east to use and adjust with this latest version of this mechanism there are angle guides on both inside and outside of the joint to make it easy to set up and a clever ridge on the spigot this is to stop the joints from ever sticking should they get any grit or mud in them. I think the new ikelos is a superb paddle it has everything anybody could want from a paddle and more. Its buoyant blade makes it very easy on the arms and shoulders even on the longest days this is a top class paddle which is equally at home on the sea and still water this version retails at £369.95

Very nice paddle indeed. Like the concept of the buoyant blades. Looks great.
