This is my review of the new kayak Essentials DVD
The DVD is by bubble TV kayak essentials is a DVD which is aimed at teaching us the correct paddle strokes and techniques to get the most from our kayaking experience the DVD is aimed at both experienced and novice paddlers there are also some great coaching tips included in the tutorials .
The DVD starts with a full screen menu I would recommend firstly viewing the using this DVD section this is a nice plain guide to using the DVD to enable us to get the most from the disc.
The opening menu screen shows us the chapters divided in to sub sections this is a great feature allowing us to simply watch the section we want so lets say you want to learn the scull and draw then you don’t have to spend time looking for that chapter you can go straight to it and watch it over and over again.

Each paddle stroke is broken down to easy to follow guides with extra tips for coaches and

Special freeze frame photography and graphics help us understand the key points of each stroke.
In the DVD a variety of sit inside kayaks are used but the strokes and techniques are exactly the same for the sit on top kayaks.
The instruction and demos are given by Nick Cunliffe, Matt Giblin and Lynsey Evans
Who are all respected bcu coaches.
Who are all respected bcu coaches.
The strokes are filmed from several angles so you can see exactly what you should be doing when learning the lessons
This is a DVD you will watch over and over again learning new things every time you watch and inspiring you to learn new strokes it will improve what you already know and tidy up your technique no end.
I found the DVD to be brilliant it’s the best DVD I have seen for showing the paddle strokes.
The instruction is very clearly set out and the multi angles and clear instructions make it easy to learn each stroke in turn.
I liked the main menu allowing me to watch a particular stroke several times.
I specially liked the way the DVD is set out and aimed at paddlers of all experience.
The retail of the DVD is £19.99 and worth every penny I think the title of the DVD says it all really kayak Essentials .
You can see some clips of the DVD on the bubble tv website
