Hey folks! I am looking to take a group of friends kayaking down in cornwall, I have some family down there we can stay with, although hoping we can turn it into a camping trip... Anyway, the group i want to go with are of mixed ability, and some have never been kayaking before (though are still up for it). I was looking for a place to get a refresher/taster session for a couple of hours, and then go out as a group. I found this activity centre near Penryn that looks good for beginner kayaking: www.bfadventure.org/activities_kayaking_cornwall.html but want some ideas for where we should try after - ideally something not too challenging?! We are going to be travelling down from Oxford/Cambridge/Norfolk, and although I grew up in Cornwall my local knowledge of rivers is sadly lacking!? Anyone who can offer some recommendations would be really really grateful! Cheers, J

You could try Fowey, its on the river estary rather than straight out to sea, if you head to the ferry (small chainlink car ferry) there is a small car park there and a boat ramp making access to the water easy
