Stability - I find it reasonably stable for fishing off (7/10)
Easy to lift - Quite awkward initially but developed a technique which seams to work (6/10)
On and off the car - As above (6/10)
To and from the water - Simple with a trolley on smoothish ground (9/10)
Fitting/build Build quality fine (8/10)
Nuts - No problems after 12 months (9/10)
Rivets - As above (9/10)
Bungee rope - In the main good but paddle holder has stretched a little (7/10)
The seat fixing and Hatches - Seat needs upgrading from the Ocean standard but still does the job (6/10) and have had no problem with the hatches in normal fishing use. Water has entered through the main front hatch only in very large waves when you become totally submerged (8/10)
Rod holders - A little awkward to get at initially but once you feel confident to move around with better balance no problem. (8/10)
Tackle box - Don't use, to small for any sea fishing use (3/10)
How does it feel on the water - Stable and secure (8/10)
Tracking - I tend to pull to the right but I'm told it's my paddling technique or lack off. (7/10)
Turning - Turns very well, not as good as the shorter yaks but really makes no difference whilst fishing (9/10)
Speed - Moves as quick as I can paddle therefore no problem (8/10)
Does it cut through the waves or ride over the top of them - Tends to cut through the waves which does make your seating area a little WET! (7/10)
Hull slap - Don't notice to much, good for quiet stalking on calm days (9/10)
Seating - Standard seat a little uncomfortable after a few hour (5/10)
Is it dry or wet? - Very wet, will have to try scupper plugs (5/10)
Is it comfortable? - Very comfortable even in quite heavy swells (9/10)
Cargo area or well - Rear cargo area large enough for a basket which holds all you need whilst fishing (9/10). Front hold ideal for a dry bag and a collapsible trolley (9/10) Screw down hatch between you legs ok for car keys, money etc in a water tight bag (9/10)
Storage how easy is it to get to - Rear, once you are confident and can sit side saddle is ok (8/10). Front hold is not really accessible whilst you are on the water (2/10). Screw down hatch a little awkward to get at and even more difficult to open with cold wet hands (3/10)
My overall score for the Prowler 13 is 7/10
Cheers
