I know it's not what you want to hear but.....it's really such an important piece of kit it's worth waiting a bit longer, I've a palm kaikouri tour cost 120/130 new bought it second hand and and got a much better piece of lit than if I'd spent the same money on new,

ok can sort out a PFD now, next question after l picked up the Yak its full of holes should these have bungs in them the bait holder rod rest is missing do you know where l can get one? On to the fishing bit ,will be taking it easy but inshore bass and Cornish estury fishing is on the cards, have a good selection of carp rods but l see all the rods appear to be 3 ft long for Kayak use why?should l buy a one or get something else that you guys would recomend? Oh and should l learn to swim

Don't worry carp rods will get you by for now, 3ft rods are not the norm. Remember when you are playing a fish the rod has to be long enough to keep the line clear of the bow.
You will have more important things to spend money on so for now save your pennies, just remember to rinse your gear in fresh water after every trip.
