Driving back down the M74 and M6 today we have seen literally a couple of thousand kayaks and canoes all travelling towards Scotland. There were some really beautiful boats amongst them too. Is there something we should know? Are all paddlers evacuating England for Scotland. Mind you with the Scottish approach of if it's wet paddle on it and the English approach of " Taste it! If it's salty it's the sea and you can paddle. If it tastes like a muddy sewer then it's a canal and you can paddle on it. If it tastes sweet then its a river or a lake and you will have to beg to paddle on it!!! No wonder they are all heading north for the Bank Holiday. Watch out for the wind folks!!

The kayak looks superb in metal flake finish, i wish i had the balls to paddle one, truth is i am scared to death of being in a confined area and not being able to get out if it turned over. As for full roll over, i shudder at the thought. Phil

Phil if you roll you fall out easy enough...don't worry. Surprisingly though they are generally very steady.

It didn`t take long to get used to. Yes it feels more tippy than my Chatham but it`s got plenty of secondary stability. I`ve even surfed it on my first sea trip Did the Windermere Solstice race on Sunday.....10.5 miles into the wind ......and it`s easy to roll
