Hi Paul I see your point.... But some countrys this law! Surfers can be a exempt rock fisherman are on land. If it only saves one life it's worth it. I saw a guy yesterday in the same way 2 kids one 7 ish one 12 ish and the with dad, Only the young one had a pfd... to top it it was an inflatable kayak with the NO INFLABLES FLAG flying.... Now should the worst happen how is that man going to say to his wife sorry the kids just drowned.... Sorry all thats the reality of it... Make it law... make it safe. Sorry again for such a hard point. Bob

my second post on this; did the Menai Straits from yFelinhli to the Gazelle Hotel and back yesterday and am still stunned by the behaviour of some of the dickheads on jetskis who thought it was 'fun' to buzz a group of 6 kayakers. And also the clowns racing 2 abreast in big powerboats in the area between the 2 bridges. I wish I could have got a picture of their boats to report them but had to concentrate on staying alive

knife out and in the rib ,not jokeing ive seen someone do that ,and a friend has saved a few kids from the blow up boats you get from the shops on the sea front and he has popped them after bringing them back to shore , Simple but effective!!! Its not simple at all one going for and attempting some thing like that from your own hands.....

Jessica, ' Simple but effective' referred to the act of puncturing the cheap inflatable to prevent a reoccurence ..... not the noble rescue !!
Please read a post carefully before replying. You reply could be misconstrued.
