The crab with skin
This week took delivery of the new super bait by Lincolnshire crab
I previewed some crab bait I bought from ebay a few weeks ago
And have been in really good dialog with Oscar mcvittie ever since
The new bait is very realistic it is bigger better colour and better texture
And it smells just right.
It is called the crab with the skin .it has a semi-permeable skin which holds the whole bait together and makes hooking it easier the bait feels almost like it has a soft rubber skin
The bait size has been increased as you can see from the photo I used the same hook 4/0 and line to review the new bait as I used to review the old bait I found it easier to hook and mask part of the hook point
I left it in the water for half hour to see how water would effect it and then removed it about a quarter had dissolved leaving three quarters on the hook so I think with tide and sea motion it would last about 45minutes in the water before needing changing
The first thing that struck me was the smell seamed stronger and there was a really good amount of small pieces on the bottom of the glass in the sea this would have the effect of a good scent trail with small particles of bait being given off just like the real thing but a lot less messy to use .
The bait I was sent is the big size just right for cod and bass it will sell at £5.99 for a pack of 12 baits the postage for a pack will be £1.00 with 50p per additional pack you can buy it from www.81x.com/peelercrabman/bait
I would say this is a big improvement on what was already a great product and is sure to be a favourite amongst us kayak fishermen .
i would just like to thank oscar for all the time he has spent in the last week answering my questions on the bait so that this review was possible and for the free pack of bait he sent me to test .i would give this bait a " big yah " and i for one will be using it a lot during the cod season.
