you need to use talc on the neck and wrist seals, plus silicone spray on the zip. dont forget otherwise you have trouble getting into it, and no chance of zipping it up.

I looked around on a couple of sites today and decided you could carry on spending forever (money that is) on this type of gear-it all depends on what you are expecting to do. Apart from the fishing - are we in an water immersion sport or a surface water sport. I suppose that all depends on how long you think you are going to be spending in the water and how often. Steadyede spent 20 minutes submerged in Bala lake last weekend in freezing temperatures in one of these suits - he got out because he started to feel cold. His suit didnt leak one drop apparantly in this time. So like i say you could look and look, but from what i see quality and build wise and for the money this seems like an Ok buy- so i stuck my creditcard where my mouth is an ordered a Typhoon Racer Front Zip Dry Suit for 190.00 plus 6.50 o/night delivery. www.wetsuitoutlet.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=28&products_id=445More details to follow.

I think you'll find that dry suits are the way forward. Everyone I know has started with paddle pants and gags etc but as soon as they get a drysuit thats it!! are we in an water immersion sport or a surface water sport? With respect I think thats irrelevant , its the confidence you gain from knowing that should things go tits up you'll last a whole lot longer in a drysuit. fitted with a thermal underfleece and neoprene socks I've fished all winter sidesaddle and never been cold. you'll all get to a drysuit eventually!!
